Well, seeing as how it’s the four month anniversary of Nothing To Say Here and as I’m currently in the middle of a move (see you soon Cleveland!) I’ve decided to take a look back at some of the movies and TV shows that have been reviewed this quarter. So, with no further ado the Top 5 Rated Movies Reviewed on Nothing To Say Here:
Okja is a great movie and I highly recommend it. However, if you are not a Socialist, if you are Pro-Science, and/or you are not passionate about animal rights, you’ll need the ability to check your views at the door and just appreciate the movie for the achievement that it is. Okja is unambiguously Netflix’s best movie and serves as proof that the company can make Oscar-caliber movies if it chooses to.
4. Deadpool 2
Deadpool 2 isn’t going to set Infinity Wars-type box office records. Being rated R, it’s not supposed to. But in some ways, it’s a better movie than the most recent installment of Avengers. It’s shorter, it doesn’t have to fit in dozens of characters, and it doesn’t require the same emotional investment. In short, it’s a lot more fun. I highly recommend this movie and if you have a couple hours and some cash to spare, I hope you check it out.
This won’t be a popular opinion, but I loved The Rachel Divide. I didn’t think that I would, especially because I wasn’t particularly interested in the underlying story before seeing it. It’s a testament to how good the movie was that it made me care about a story that I normally wouldn’t. I believe this documentary will stimulate many interesting thoughts in viewers and I highly recommend it.
It’s pretty much everything that a summer blockbuster is supposed to be: a high-stakes action-fest, with humor and heart. I enjoyed the experience of watching it immensely, and I hope that you do too!
Overall, I loved Train to Busan. I plan on watching it again. When it leaves Netflix, I’ll buy it. I highly recommend this movie to lovers of good films, regardless of genre. It’s smart, exciting, and moving. If you give it a chance, I think you’ll love it.
I have no clue what I'm doing, but I'll keep doing whatever it is to the best of my ability.
