This is made more difficult by the fact that the school is ground zero for the infection. The Babysitter: Killer Queen (sequel 2017’s “The Babysitter”) takes place two years after the original and finds the protagonist, Cole, as a high school junior who is ostracized by his peers and thought insane by his family. The reason? Despite his harrowing fight for survival against the blood cult, there’s no evidence supporting that anything untoward took place. When his family finally tires of Cole’s unwillingness to recant his account of events, they plan on having him institutionalized. Upon discovering this, Cole flees with his best friend to a boathouse where he hopes to clear his head and come up with a plan. But Cole’s past catches up to him when the cult, revived from the dead and assisted by new acolytes, again come hunting for his blood.

Amazon Prime’s Upload takes place in the near future in a world where the virtual and “real” worlds coexist in surprising ways. When he’s grievously injured in a self-driving car accident, Nathan’s consciousness is uploaded into his girlfriend’s family’s digital afterlife, Lake View. As Nathan adjusts to his new, noncorporeal existence, he bonds with his customer service representative, Nora. The third season of Netflix’s Castlevania takes place about a month after Dracula’s defeat. Eastern Europe is in chaos with various vampire and human factions vying for power. Trevor and Sypha roam the countryside killing demons and doing their small part to make the world a safer place. Meanwhile, Alucard wallows in loneliness, searching for purpose after accomplishing his lifelong goal of slaying his father, Dracula. As the vampire king’s loyalists plot their revenge against his betrayers, Trevor and Sypha find themselves battling religious zealots whose sole goal is Dracula’s return.
